Small Wars - Lee Child free pdf

small warsLee Child finally got serious about writing a Reacher short story. This is the best, and it's not even close. It involves the murder of a military officer on a backwoods road in Georgia. The state police have a man in custody, but it falls to Reacher and Neagley to find the truth.

No spoilers, but the opening scene is unexpected, to say the least. It’ll make you want to keep reading, for sure. As always, Reacher takes an analytical approach with his investigation—and as always, it puts him in the path of a figurative oncoming train.

It’s a short story, but it has all the elements that make Reacher such a compelling fictional hero in Lee Child’s novels. It’s an emphatic 5 stars and I highly recommend it to Reacher and thriller fans.

The Murderer's Daughter: A Novel - Jonathan Kellerman free pdf

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
From the creator of the acclaimed Alex Delaware series comes a tour de force standalone novel that illustrates perfectly why “Jonathan Kellerman has justly earned his reputation as a master of the psychological thriller” (People).

A brilliant, deeply dedicated psychologist, Grace Blades has a gift for treating troubled souls and tormented psyches—perhaps because she bears her own invisible scars: Only five years old when she witnessed her parents’ deaths in a bloody murder-suicide, Grace took refuge in her fierce intellect and found comfort in the loving couple who adopted her. But even as an adult with an accomplished professional life, Grace still has a dark, secret side. When her two worlds shockingly converge, Grace’s harrowing past returns with a vengeance.

Both Grace and her newest patient are stunned when they recognize each other from a recent encounter. Haunted by his bleak past, mild-mannered Andrew Toner is desperate for Grace’s renowned therapeutic expertise and more than willing to ignore their connection. And while Grace is tempted to explore his case, which seems to eerily echo her grim early years, she refuses—a decision she regrets when a homicide detective appears on her doorstep.

An evil she thought she’d outrun has reared its head again, but Grace fears that a police inquiry will expose her double life. Launching her own personal investigation leads her to a murderously manipulative foe, one whose warped craving for power forces Grace back into the chaos and madness she’d long ago fled.

Four Week Fiance - Helen Cooper free pdf

First off, if you are a fan of JS cooper (aka Helen Cooper) you know that she is a great writer. Her writing is different from what I've seen from other writers. She always grabs your attention from the beginning of any books and one that I truly admire is that she always brings her character to life with her writing. Also, all her books all have a different plot than the other. I just love it!!

Okay, now getting to the book without giving too much. Mila is this sweet character who been in love with her older brother's best friend since they were kids. You get to see her diary entries from when she was a little kid and see how her feelings develops for TJ. So, you know those books that just throws two people together and then they are immediately in love and get marry? Well, this is different. JS builds from the beginning, Mila's feelings for TJ and why she is plotting to get into TJ's bed. It all starts with a family vacation that Mila's family always have and that TJ always join because he's always been close with the family. Only this time is different because for the first time, Mila is planning to use this get together to get closer to TJ and hopefully finally have TJ. Mila had it all planned out and things works in her favor when she hears that her parents are not planning on going this year, so it will only be Mila, her friend, brother and TJ. Everything is falling into place, right? Well, there was a change of plans when two unexpected guests joins the vacation.

Seems like Mila won't get to have her little wicked way with TJ after all because of the unplanned guest, but what Mila doesn't know is that TJ has his own little plan in place too. You'll have to read to figure out how everything comes together and I promise you will not be disappointed.
